Bad Economies, Superheroes, and Fulfilling Your Dreams – Part I with Victoria Vives

Your parents, with all the best intentions, passed to you their time tested secrets for success: go to school, be a good student, work hard, get a job, pay off your loans, start a family, repeat with your own kids. You tried to take this advice to heart, following the steps as best you could with the assurance that you would live happily ever after and one of two things happened:

1) You managed to follow the rules but… it’s not working out as promised, something is just not right.

2) You can’t stand the lack of freedom, the one size fits all, the petty office antics, and the stifling monotony.

Whichever situation you find yourself in now, every morning you ask yourself “Where is the sense of purpose and fulfillment that was promised? How do I get there?”

When Ed kindly asked me to write an article on what to do in these economic times, the first thing that came to mind was “What economic times?”

That’s right, I’m not tied to the doomsday economic news reports, in fact, I don’t even watch the news.

Many people’s feelings are directly tied with what they are told they should be feeling by mainstream media, qualifying everything with the “fact” that “times are bad”.
I would start by not qualifying our present experience in that way. Once you change your relationship with the present, the magic will start. Success and prosperity happens everywhere and at all times regardless of what the “experts” say.

Would you rather connect with bad news or good news?

These times can be as AMAZING as you let them be and they can be the right exact perfect time for YOUR opportunity. It is known that great fortunes were forged in times of “crisis”. Somebody saw opportunity and acted on it. In crisis, always always always, lies opportunity.
I see these times as times of change. A time when the old system is not working anymore. The system is what is in crisis, not the world. The old way of thinking is failing, because we don’t buy it anymore, sorry. This is no one’s fault however, we all learn and grow together.

We want something new that fits every one of us as unique facets of a global consciousness. We want a new world where each of us can shine with our best gift and contribution to the world in a joyful matter and can make a good living out of it. The standard 9-5 job might be perfect for some, but for those who want more, you can have that too! It’s time for the modern Superhero to emerge — YOU!
